Yes, it's been some time since I've posted on here, but that's only because I've been hard at work creating new pieces! Below you will see photos of some completed and in-progress paintings that I can't wait to show the world. Sherman comes framed, though you have the option of removing the badass frame I found for this guy if you wish.
You'll find Gen. Sherman, Gen Eisenhower, JFK 2, and Winston Churchill below. All measure 24"x36" besides JFK 2 - which is actually being painted on canvas, and measures 15"x30".

I'm still figuring out a title for this piece, but here he is, measuring roughly 11"x24" acrylic on wood. This was a fun little endeavor as I continue to tackle commissioned pieces.
Here are a few pictures of the almost complete deer sculpture made out of papier-mâché over a hand-made wire frame. It's mounted a piece of oak, which is looking pretty rough in the pictures. This whole thing needs to be cleaned up, have some final work applied to the eyes, and then I have to apply the varnish to wrap it up. Complete photos will be up next week!
So here is the newest addition to the sculpture collection. This elephant head was constructed out of paper mache over a wire frame. It's mounted on a piece of oak wood with a cherry stain. I have yet to apply a finishing coat and varnish, which I plan to do in the next 24 hours. This guy measures 36"x36"x15". ![]() Two days ago I started putting the finishing touches on this crucifix, which is made of wood, wire frame, and paper mache. These pictures don't do the sculpture justice, as it's still drying. The cross measures 25 1/2" x 33", and the figure is 12" from hand to hand, and 12" head to feet as is on the cross. I am constructing a base, which will allow for a 360 degree view of the piece, or one has the option to remove it from the base and hang it on a wall.
There is a fantastic print maker here in Charlottesville, VA. who produces these amazing prints. Take a look at an example done for a client who requested a 24"x36" Oysters and Beer canvas print.
So here it is...finally. "The Dinner" was inspired by my love of food and the desire to capture a unique moment in someone's dining experience. You'll notice that the menu reads - "Schweinfurt" - which is a town in Germany that I was stationed in during my time in the Army.
